Hal Donofrio, President & CEO
Hal Donofrio is the Chief Executive Officer of Campaign For Our Children, Inc. CFOC is a “first-of-its kind” program which integrates the efforts of mass media advertising, interactive media and public relations with school programs and counseling to influence attitudes about sex, love and values. Mr. Donofrio has served the organization since its founding in 1987.

Mr. Donofrio until recently was the chairman of Richardson, Myers & Donofrio, Inc., a marketing communications organization he founded in 1964. Today, RM&D, recently renamed Carton Donofrio Partners is one of the leaders in its field.

In addition to his work with CFOC, Hal has served on the Media Task Force for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, the Governor’s Council for Adolescent Pregnancy (Maryland) and the Advisory Board of the Governor’s Wellmobile. He has also contributed a great deal of his time to several educational institutions including: the University of Maryland as a director of the University of Maryland Foundation and as a member of the Board of Visitors for the College of Journalism; the University of Baltimore, as a board member for the Schaefer Center for Public Policy; and as a member of the Maryland Business Roundtable for Excellence in Education. He is an Associate, Department of Health Policy and Management, School of Hygiene and Public Health-Johns Hopkins University, a director of the Center for Fathers, Families and Workforce Development, and board member of the National Association of Health Education Centers.

He has been the Chairman of the Board of the Sheppard Pratt National Center for Human Development, and a director of the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Baltimore Council for International Visitors. He has also served as a director of the College of Notre Dame, the Medical Eye Bank, St. Paul’s School for Boys and Western Maryland College.

An active force in the business community as well, he is a past Chairman of the Washington/Baltimore Regional Association. He has been a director and treasurer of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and has served on its Government Relations Committee. He is a past Chairman of the Board of BPA International (world’s leading business publications auditing corporation) and has served as a director of the Advertising Council, Inc., since 1986.

He served as an Infantry captain in the U. S. Army during the Korean War where he received several combat decorations. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Bronwyn Mayden, MSW, Consultant
Bronwyn Mayden has more than 25 years experience in adolescent and reproductive health promotion in the public and non-profit arenas. She has been the Executive Director of Campaign For Our Children and is currently at the University of Maryland School of Social Work as the Director of Continuing Professional Education.

Before her position at CFOC, she was Vice President at the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA) in Washington, DC.  Prior to her work with NFPRHA, Ms. Mayden directed the Child Welfare League of America’s Florence Crittenton Division which is devoted to addressing adolescent childbearing for teens in the child welfare system.  Her work to develop pregnancy prevention strategies for youths in out-of-home care provided her the opportunity to advise many federal, state and local officials.

Ms. Mayden was the first director of the Maryland’s Governor’s Council on Adolescent Pregnancy where she mobilized resources, increased public awareness, promoted interagency and public/private coordination, policy and program planning and development, monitored statewide progress toward goals of reducing teen pregnancy.

She is the author of the First Talk: A Teen Pregnancy Prevention Dialogue among Latinos (1999), Sexuality Education for Youths in Care, and Standards of Excellence for Adolescent Pregnancy, Pregnant Adolescents and Young Parents as well as numerous other articles and publications.

She is a member of the Board of Endergenderhealth, and also serves on the board of the National Florence Crittenton Mission Foundation.

Ms. Mayden received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community Planning and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. She is married and is the proud mother of two sons, John and Adam.

Jill Page, Administrator
Jill Page is the CFOC Administrator working with Hal Donofrio, President of Campaign For Our Children, Inc. Ms. Page’s responsibilities include general office administration and being the contact for CFOC materials. Ms. Page is an integral part of this hard working, cooperative and energetic team committed to organizational excellence.




Donna Sawers, Administrator
Donna Sawers has been an administrative assistant to Hal Donofrio, President of Campaign For Our Children for over 15 years.  Ms. Sawers has a range of responsibilities including, general office administration, financial accounting and reporting, management of staff payroll, inventory and delivery of CFOC materials, and some board and public relations. Ms. Sawers is an integral part of this hard-working, cooperative, and energetic team committed to organizational excellence and growth.
