The campaign targets 9-14-year olds by using a variety of methods to communicate adolescent preventive health messages to the teens, their parents and their communities. We work with state agencies, communities and individuals.
The key to our success is our multi-dimensional approach to raising awareness of the issues relating to adolescent sexual health. We utilize a proven method of mass media education, aggressive public relations, active in-school and community-based education, interactive learning (CFOC’s web site was the International Webby Award winner, 2001 in the “Living” category) and public health outlets to communicate our preventive health messages to youth, parents, community leaders, policy makers and the general public. Our issues currently include abstinence-plus teen pregnancy prevention, child support enforcement, infant mortality prevention, adolescent sexual health and male responsibility.
CFOC also offers youth-related communications consulting services to communities, private organizations and states.
