Having good data is essential to persuading funders to fund your initiative. The database comparison center will allow you to graph adolescent pregnancy rates for various states and the U.S.

Teen Pregnancy Rates are defined as the number of pregnancies per 1,000 women in that age group (15-19 years old). Pregnancies are estimated as the sum of live births, legal induced abortions and estimated fetal losses (including stillborns).

**Please note that the data source for pregnancy rates switches in 1996. Therefore a jump in the data may not be an accurate representation of a trend. Calculating pregnancy rates is really an estimation which does not account for undocumented pregnancies.
